This position will be assigned to support clients throughout Manakin Sabot, Short Pump, Wyndham, and Tuckahoe at the following zip codes (23103, 23059, 23060, 23173, 23233, 23238, 23229, 23294). You will start as a backup and fill in, until you acquire clients to grow your base. Availability for more than one shift will assist you in building your client base. Typically, a full schedule consists of 4-6 visits a day; however, holiday and vacation seasons could be 6-8 visits a day. Times and daily schedules vary depending on client schedules, needs and requests. Weekends and holiday availability is required.

Holidays include bonuses. Tips are not guaranteed or required but providing repeated and exceptional service gets recognized!

This contracted position is is great for you if you are:

1. A self employed person who is all about animals and their well being, is self disciplined, motivated, is a problem solver and passionate about what they do.

2. Reliable, responsible and experienced in customer service and with dogs and cats. Know how to take charge and is not uncomfortable with big dogs or hissing cats!

3. Looking for supplemental income. Income is totally dependent on the number of visits requested, scheduled and completed.

4. Comfortable with a changing schedule and varied hours per week.

5. Consistently available for specific time frames (7-11am, 10-3pm, 1-6pm, 5-9pm, Overnights 9pm-7am), or consistently available for a varied schedule.

6. Reliable transportation and a backup in case of car troubles-this is required to care for pets in their homes (You might be able to deduct mileage from your income taxes!), and visits cannot be missed.

7. Is interested in the ability to earn incentives for bringing on new clients and sitters.

8. Live in or adjacent to zip codes (23103, 23059, 23060, 23173, 23233, 23238, 23229, 23294 or willing to drive to those zip codes.

9. Willing to consult with an accountant about tax deductions for mileage and other work related expenses.
